After Paul gives us 26 verses of gospel truths, he then transitions to things that the gospel calls us to. So in our verses we are given some clarity as to what a Christian is to do with the gospel realities and perspective of verses 1-26. What we learn is that redemption in Christ calls us to have a morality that is all about trusting the gospel’s accomplishments, to have a unique set of values that are defined by the cross and empowered by the cross and having comforts that are uniquely qualified by the cross. (Php 1:27-30)
